The Bell Centre – Montreal’s mecca for sports, music and entertainment
The Bell Centre formerly known as the Molson Centre is a sports and entertainment complex in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It opened on March 16, 1996, after nearly three years under construction.
Bell Centre Montreal Location
It is located in downtown Montreal, near the corner of Avenue des Canadiens-de-Montréal (formerly known as Rue de la Gauchetière Ouest in this sector) and De La Montagne Street. It is parallel to and slightly south of Rene Levesque Boulevard and easily accessible by public transit as it is connected to Lucien L’Allier Metro Station and Bonaventure Metro Station.
Montreal Bell Centre – Home of the Montreal Canadiens
It is best known as the home of the National Hockey League’s Montreal Canadiens hockey team, and it has the largest arena capacity to regularly host an NHL team. This is testament to the rabid dedication bordering on obsession of Montreal hockey fans to their Montreal Canadiens, also known locally in French as ‘Nos Amours’ or our ‘Loved Ones’. The Bell Centre is also the location where most major musical acts visiting the city would play at.
