The city of Montreal Metro Subway system is a large an intricate subway network that presently comprises 68 stations on 4 lines that span the length and width of the core of the city, and its two immediate suburbs to the north and south of Montreal island. The Montreal Metro system is one of the busiest and most utilized subway systems in North America, behind only those of New York City and Mexico City, delivering close to 1.3 million daily passenger rides in the average day.
